DartmouthX - Round 1

The first four DartmouthX courses come from the Arts, Humanities, Sciences and Engineering. The faculty and their course topics are:

  • Andy Friedland: Intro to Environmental Science; 6-week course ran in winter of 2015, and again in summer of 2015.
  • Vicki May: The Engineering of Structures Around Us; 6-week course ran in spring of 2015. A re-run is planned for summer 2016.
  • Steve Swayne: Introduction to Opera; 7-week course ran in fall of 2015.
  • Don Pease and Jed Dobson: Literature of the American Renaissance; course opened on February 16, 2016; registration is open.

After the initial offering, some courses may run again at a later date. Please check back for scheduled re-runs. However, courses will remain open for self-service access after the initial run; all course materials will be available, but discussion boards will be closed. Please visit the DartmouthX page on the edX site to sign up for any of the DartmouthX courses that have been offered.

DartmouthX - Round 2

The second round of DartmouthX courses was recently announced in Dartmouth Now.  This second round of five DartmouthX courses include two courses, lead by Professor Marcelo Gleiser and Professor Peter Tse '84, that will be produced in conjunction with the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Engagement at Dartmouth (ICE).

How to sign up

You will be able to sign up for DartmouthX courses from the DartmouthX course catalog, as soon as our courses are released for registration. If you would like to be notified whenever a DartmouthX course becomes available for registration, please fill out the web form on this page.
